Detailed Storyline: Hoppers (2026)
The story introduces us to Mabel Tanaka, an introverted but brilliant animal lover who has always felt more at home in nature than in the bustling city. Her life takes a futuristic turn when she is recruited by a secretive tech lab that has perfected "Brain-Hopping." This technology allows a human's consciousness to be wirelessly transmitted into a state-of-the-art robotic animal.
Mabel’s mission is simple but high-stakes: She must "hop" into a robot beaver to infiltrate a nearby forest glade. Why? Because the ambitious and eccentric Mayor Jerry (voiced by Jon Hamm) plans to bulldoze the entire ecosystem to build an elite "volcano-themed" real estate development.
Once Mabel enters the body of the beaver, she discovers a complex society within the animal kingdom. She meets King George (voiced by Bobby Moynihan), a larger-than-life beaver monarch who is skeptical of humans but desperate for a leader to help defend their dam. As Mabel balances her human life with her animal avatar, she begins to realize that the "brain-hopping" link is more than just a job—she starts to truly feel and communicate with the wild.
The conflict reaches a boiling point when Mabel discovers that the Mayor has his own robotic counter-measures. What follows is an epic, high-tech battle between the animal glade and the construction forces. Mabel must lead a literal animal uprising, proving that the heart of a human and the spirit of the wild can combine to save the planet. It’s a story about finding your voice, even if that voice happens to be a "slap" of a beaver's tail.
